Raw Material

Scrap Aluminium

Aluminium scrap is one type of Non-Hazardous and Non-Toxic (B3) waste consisting of aluminium-based items that have been degraded from their original form and whose functions differ from the original items. Types of aluminium scrap include various types, including used aluminium building profiles, used automotive components, cables, and scrap from aluminium metal production or manufacturing processes originating from the industry. PT IAA targets the use of a minimum of 70% aluminium scrap as raw material for producing Recycled Aluminium Billets with types of automotive components (rims), wire and cable components, and components from the extrusion process. These components are selected to match the chemical composition of the recycled billet to be produced.

PT Indonesia Aluminium Alloy accepts scrap under specific terms & conditions. The selected chemical composition of the scrap is as follows:

Kabel / Wire

Wheel / Velg

Molten Aluminium

Molten Aluminum is pure liquid aluminum obtained from the Hall-Heroult reduction process. PT IAA obtains Molten Aluminum from PT INALUM's smelting plant and will use a maximum of 30% Molten Aluminum as raw material for producing Recycled Aluminum Billets.
